A dual Australian and British citizen, currently domiciled in Sydney, Patrick McGlinchey was appointed to the Board as a Commissioner on May 19, 2015 and lastly reelected on May 26, 2016. Since March 2014, he has served as Regional General Counsel Asia Pacific for LafargeHolcim (and its predecessor organisation, Holcim). Prior to this, his appointments were as General Counsel, Company Secretary and EXCO member for Holcim Australia; Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary for Aristocrat Leisure Ltd. in Sydney; Director of Capital Investments and Acquisitions Asia Pacific for InterContinental Hotels Group plc in Singapore; as well as Legal Director and Associate General Counsel for Cable & Wireless plc in London. In addition, he held various senior legal positions in private practice in London and Sydney. Mr McGlinchey has over 23 years of legal and commercial experience, focusing on M&A, corporate governance, leadership, compliance and general commercial law with significant exposure to Indonesia and other Asian markets. He is also recognised by Legal 500 as one of South East Asia's leading in house counsel. Patrick McGlinchey holds dual degrees in Economics (Soc sc) and Law (Hons) from the University of Sydney, Australia. He is currently admitted as a lawyer in both the UK and Australia (NSW).
