Jakarta (4/8) - The rapidly increasing number of vehicles hitting the city streets of Jakarta and daily transportation needs, has been challenging the Jakarta Government to provide sufficient infrastructures in form of new roads or reparation on roads in poor condition. Currently, road reparation projects including some of TransJakarta busway lanes are now taking place with fast track concrete solution namely SpeedCrete™ provided by Holcim Indonesia. The first contract signed by the provincial highway agency in second quarter this year, worth USD$ 5.5 million covering a complete excavation and build of 12 km of total 200 km plan, from subbase to surface course. Second contract has just recently signed on Monday, 3 August 2015 for the reparation of Marunda access road, Kebon Nanas - Ahmad Yani intersection, and Pramuka - Matraman intersection with total work volume of 1,550 m3.
At present, Jakarta citizens still have to struggle on the roads and increasing number of vehicles that goes imbalanced with the growth of road availability and results nasty traffic jams and economic loss in terms of time and fuel wasted. Unlike the conventional road reparation work that usually takes weeks, SpeedCrete™ presents as a fast track concrete solution for road repair in only seven hours working time at night. “We appreciate such value added solutions that support the development in urban cities and answer the challenges on field.
